Description

The product contains 400 µg of methylated folic acid. It is a form that is well absorbed and shows high bioavailability.

Folic acid supplementation is particularly recommended:

• for women before, during and after pregnancy (folate contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy and is involved in cell division),
• for the maintenance of the normal functioning of the immune system,
• for the maintenance of normal homocysteine metabolism.

Low maternal folate levels are a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the developing foetus. A beneficial effect occurs with a daily supplementary intake of 400 μg of folic acid for at least one month before conception and up to three months after conception.

RECOMMENDED DAILY PORTION:

• 1 tablet once daily for at least one month before conception and during the first trimester of pregnancy.
• Do not exceed recommended daily portion. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet.
